Silk: Handle with Care
Silk is one of the most luxurious — and delicate — fabrics in fashion. It should always be dry cleaned, never soaked, and pressed on a low-heat setting on the reverse side to protect its sheen.
When travelling, roll silk garments in tissue rather than folding them sharply, which can leave permanent creases on the delicate surface.
Velvet: Keep the Pile Perfect
Velvet's plush pile is its signature, but it flattens easily under pressure. Always store velvet hanging on padded hangers, and steam (never iron) to revive the pile.
